72,330 New Covid cases in India, 459 deaths in last 24 hours

New Delhi, April 01, 2021: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) recorded 72,330 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 on Thursday. India also reported 459 more deaths and another 40,382 hospital discharges in the last 24 hours.
The tally of confirmed cases in India has climbed to 1,22,21,665 while total recoveries stand at 1,14,74,683.
As per the MoHFW, there are 5,84,055 active cases in India.
The Covid-19 infection has claimed 1,62,927 lives in the country to date.
