A Row of Shops on Fire in Mumbai’s Bandra

Mumbai, July 21, 2015:  A row of shops are on fire in Mumbai’s Bandra. The fire reportedly began at a shoe store on Linking Road. Because leather and plastic items caught fire, the flames spread quickly, said fire safety officials.

The fire began before shops opened for business; nobody is reported trapped, said officials.

Ambulances were rushed to the location along with fire engines. At noon, sources said the fire was under control.

The city was lashed by heavy rain this morning.
