Actor Inder Kumar detained on rape charges

Mumbai, April 25: Bollywood actor Inder Kumar has been reportedly detained by the Versova police following allegations of rape, sexual assault of a 23-year-old woman.

A 23-year-old woman has registered a case against him following which the actor has been booked under section 376 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

 

The police have taken the girl for medical examination and after confirmation through the reports he will be placed under arrest.

Victim has alleged that he exploited her on the pretext of work.

"The girl is a struggler and not to be given any importance. I was on ’hi and bye’ terms with her. In fact she and my wife Pallavi had a big fight. I have sorted things out with my wife and she is with me. The girl has gone and filed a complaint, but what she is saying is untrue," Inder Kumar was quoted by a tabloid.

Inder has been seen in films like Kahi Pyaar Na Ho Jaye, Wanted and is said to be a close buddy of Salman Khan.
