Agra: 8-year-old, mother brutally beaten for stealing a spoon of milk powder

Agra, July 17, 2015: In an outrageous incident in Agra, a teacher and her husband ruthlessly thrashed an eight-year-old boy and his differently-abled mother with iron rods for stealing some milk powder.

The mother of the boy worked as a maid at the teacher’s home. The couple thrashed the mother and her son after they checked footage from CCTV cameras at their home and witnessed the theft.

"They took off my sari, my child’s clothes and beat us up. The teacher said that if I told anyone, I would face dire consequences," the victim said.

What is more shocking is that the police initially did not take any action and also charged the victim for petrol expenses to travel to the scene of the incident.

"The child was beaten because he took a spoon of milk powder," a police officer investigating the case said.

No arrests have been made in the case so far.
