Ahead of Karnataka polls, Rahul Gandhi to visit Belagavi on March 20

Belagavi, Mar 15, 2023: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is set to visit Karnataka’s Belagavi on March 20. Rahul Gandhi will be taking part in a youth manifesto program during his visit to the poll-bound state.

 

The Congress leader may likely announce the party’s fourth poll promise during the visit. The elections to the Karnataka Assembly are due in May.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah on Monday said the first list of party’

s candidates for the Karnataka Assembly polls will likely be announced on March 17.

"The first list (of candidates) will most likely be out on March 17, because there is a meeting of the (party’s) central election committee that day and the first list may get finalised," Siddaramaiah said.

The Congress has set a target of winning at least 150 seats in the 224-member Assembly, to come to power in Karnataka, with a clear majority.
