Army jawan shot dead by Militants outside his house in Pulwama

Mar 13, 2019 - A 25-year-old army man was shot dead outside his house by suspected militants at Pingleena village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama on Wednesday, 13 March, Kashmir Observer reported.

 

Soldier Ashiq Hussain of Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry, son of Mohd Yousuf Naik, was shot by masked gunmen believed to be militants, reported Kashmir Observer quoting local media GNS.

He was a former special police officer in Pulwama district, reported PTI quoting officials.

He was taken to a hospital where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

A joint team comprising the army and SOG has launched a cordon and a search operation in the area to nab the assailants.
