Ayesha Releases 2002 Nikahnama With Shoaib Mallik

Hyderabad / Pakistan: April 02 : Maha alias Ayesha Siddiqui threw a spanner in the works on Friday when she e-mailed the copy of her Nikahnama with Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik to a Pakistani news channel Dunya TV.

 

 

The nikahnama dated June 3, 2002 shows signatures of Shoaib Malik and Maha Siddiqui. Maha is the name given to Ayesha by her grandmother, while her parents gave her the name Ayesha, according to Siddiqui family.

 

 

 

However Shoaib Malik’s brother-in-law Imran Zafar said, the girl Maha had trapped Shoaib Malik through internet by sending pictures of a beautiful girl and posed herself as the cousin of Ayesha.


Imran told Indian news channels over phone from Lahore that the girl Maha was a ‘cheat, mastermind’ and had trapped Shoaib into marrying her. The nikahnama has the signatures of two witnesses in Pakistan and those of the qazi and the registrar. It also shows Rs 500 paid as Mehr money.

Shoaib’s brother-in-law Imran said their family had three lawyers, two Muslim and a Hindu, ready in Delhi to fight a case if the Siddiqui family moved the court to stop Shoaib’s engagement and wedding with tennis star Sania Mirza.

“We want them (Siddiqui family) to move court soon. We had sent them a legal notice two years back. We have three lawyers ready in Delhi awaiting our green signal”, said Imran.


Imran demanded that the Siddiqui family should come forward with evidence of the wedding including video proof. He said, there was no engagement between the two.

According to the 1962 family laws in Pakistan, a  Muslim national marrying for the second time needs the approval from the first wife, but under Shariat law, which permits four marriages, such prior approval from the first wife is not necessary.

Ayesha Claims, Shoaib Married Her In 2002 In Sialkot


Ayesha Siddiqui, the Hyderabad woman who claims she is the first wife of Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, has revealed for the first time that she was married to Shoaib in the latter’s football factory  in Sialkot, Pakistan  in October 2002. 

Speaking to a Pakistani news channel Duniya News for nearly 90 minutes, Ayesha claimed that the wives of Pakistani cricketers Imran Nazir, Rana Naved and Mohd Yousuf knew about this wedding.  


Ayesha says, qazis from India and Pakistan were present at the wedding in 2002. She said, Shoaib’s family members loved her immensely, but there was a sudden change in Shoaib’s behaviour in 2005. 

Shoaib, she claimed, used to come home and hand over the trophies that he used to win in cricket.

Ayesha revealed one more thing. She said, it was she who introduced tennis star Sania Mirza to Shoaib Malik. Shoaib, in the beginning, she says, never liked Sania’s play. 

Ayesha says, since her wedding in Pakistan was not officially registered, she cannot get legal remedy in that country. Ayesha has also said that she had suffered a miscarriage after her wedding with Shoaib. 

Meanwhile, Shoaib’s brother-in-law Imran Zafar has challenged Ayesha to come forth with evidence that she had ever visited Sialkot. Any Indian visiting Pakistan must have come with a visa and passport, and she should prove her claim, said  Imran.

Meanwhile, the Siddiqui family is said to be in a state of shock over the reports of impending marriage of Shoaib-Sania in April.

Ayesha’s father, Mohammed Ahmed Siddiqui has threatened to sue Shoaib if he does not divorce his daughter. "I want divorce for my daughter".

"According to Islamic law, my daughter cannot remarry if she doesn’t have the divorce paper," he said in an interview to a news channel. He also said that Sania Mirza will be Shoaib’s second wife.

Mohammed Ahmed Siddiqui claimed in February 2008 that Shoaib had married his daughter in June 2002 through a telephonic nikah after having an online affair.

However, Shoaib claims that he was only engaged to her and the marriage was called off because of problems between the families.

If sources are to be believed, Ayesha met Shoaib in a Dubai restaurant in 2001 along with her friend, Maha. While Ayesha is a little plump, Maha was pretty and Shoaib fell for her. On returning to Hyderabad, Ayesha, posing as Maha, started chatting with Shoaib.

Ayesha apparently fell in love with the cricketer and convinced her parents to contact his parents and arrange for a telephonic nikah.

In 2005, when the Pakistan cricket team was in Hyderabad, the Siddiquis hosted a reception for the cricket team. A website quotes a source as saying, "Shoaib became suspicious when he expressed his desire to meet Ayesha and her parents said she was out of town."

Ayesha was reportedly working as a school teacher in Dubai and apparently sent her actual photograph to Shoaib. This made the player snap all ties with her. He said the Siddiquis he had been duped.

I Was Never Seeing Shoaib Malik, Says Former Miss India Sayali Bhagat


Three days after the news of Sania Mirza marrying Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik broke out, the latter’s reported ex-girlfriend Sayali Bhagat also broke her silence. 

 

In an interview to a magazine, Sayali Bhagat said: “I was never seeing Shoaib. I met him when we both had signed a film together. When a film rolls out, there is always gossip about the lead pair seeing or dating each other and that happened to both of us too. Though the controversy was not true, I enjoyed the attention. In our profession any news is publicity, but now I had to come out and clarify the rumours because it was going way above my head. My family has been getting incessant calls and is being harassed for no fault of their own.”

“What I am facing today is the price of publicity. I was dating someone else when the rumour of Shoaib and me broke and my relationship was affected,” she says.

She also revealed how this gossip about her getting married took shape. 

“I got to know Shoaib when we were offered a film together. Despite agreeing to the offer, the producer and director (Wilson Louis) could not sell Shoaib as he was a Pakistani cricketer. Meanwhile, 26/11 happened which meant the production house could not market Shoaib as a hero at any cost. I’m just 24 and there is lots of time to get married. I’m not desperate to get married,” she says.

She adds, “Whenever I met Shoaib, I never met him alone. But gossip happened and any news is publicity for a film. So, I was silent but I am glad that I’ve spoken the truth today. It was required to stop speculations.”

 

 

Thackeray Flays Sania Mirza, Says She Is No Longer An Indian


Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on Friday  lambasted tennis star Sania Mirza for deciding to marry Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik and said she is no longer an Indian.

The 84-year-old Sena supremo also said that had Sania been truly Indian at heart she would not have chosen a Pakistani.

"Henceforth, Sania will not remain an Indian. Had her heart been Indian, it wouldn’t have beaten for a Pakistani," Thackeray said in an editorial in party mouthpiece ’Saamna’.

Thackeray further went ahead and asked Sania to marry an Indian if she wishes to play for India.

"If she wished to play for India, she should have chosen an Indian life partner," he added.

Thackeray’s comments came days after the Sena attacked Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan for his comments on the omission of Pakistani players from the third edition of Indian Premier League(IPL) cricket tournament now underway.

23-year-old Sania, who is the most successful woman tennis player from the sub-continent, has announced her marriage to the 28-year-old former Pakistan skipper on April 15 in Hyderabad..

"More than victories on tennis court, Sania became famous for her tight clothes, fashion and love affairs," Thackeray alleged.

"More than her play, people’s attention was on her mannerisms," he claimed.

The Sena supremo alleged that "for Shoaib, India is an enemy, not only in sports arena but also in the battlefield.

"We have heard that Shoaib has many affairs in India and has promised many girls he will marry them," he said.

Thackeray also expressed surprise over the alacrity with which Sania’s family members were granted Pakistani visas.
