Ayodhya Buffalo gives birth to 8 legged Calf, locals call it a miracle

Mangalore Today News Network

Ayodhya, September 21, 2024: A shocking incident from Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, has captured the attention of locals and netizens alike. In the Modra Karma Chauraha village of Sadar tehsil, a farmer’s buffalo gave birth to a calf with an unusual trait—eight legs. This rare occurrence has sparked widespread curiosity, with people flocking to the farmer’s home to witness the calf firsthand.

The calf has a single torso, one head and eight legs, leaving the villagers both amazed and puzzled. Some locals consider the birth to be a miracle, while others view it as a sign of nature’s wrath. Videos and photos of the calf quickly went viral on social media, attracting even more attention and leading people from surrounding areas to visit the farmer’s house.

The calf was born under the supervision of a veterinary doctor, Dr. Ram Kishore Yadav, who confirmed the calf’s unique condition. Dr. Yadav also noted that it is difficult to determine whether the calf is male or female due to its abnormal anatomy. While such births are rare, they are not unheard of in India. Mutant animals with extra limbs or other unusual physical traits have been reported in the past, though the frequency of such cases is extremely low.

Despite the fascination surrounding the calf, experts are concerned about its health. Calves born with such physical abnormalities often face significant health challenges and their chances of survival are typically low. These animals may suffer from complications related to their extra limbs and in many cases, they do not live for long.

While the birth of this eight-legged calf has captivated many, it also raises questions about the health and well-being of such animals. Whether viewed as a miracle or a medical anomaly, the calf’s condition is a reminder of the unpredictability of nature.
