BJP MP Poonamben maadam falls in Drain during demolition drive

May 16, 2016: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Jamnagar Poonamben Hematbhai Maadam fell into a drain on Monday during a demolition drive. The MP had gone to oversee a demolition drive in Jalaram Nagar area of her Lok Sabha constituency when the mishap took place.

Poonam along with a few other people was standing on the top of the drain cover which caved in resulting in the accident. She and some others fell in to the eight feet deep drain.

Two other women who fell with her have also been injured and are undergoing treatment.
