BJP releases 1st part of Delhi manifesto, promises Rs 21,000 for pregnant women & meals at Rs 5

Mangaluru, January 17, 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released the first part of its election manifesto on Friday for the Delhi Assembly polls. The party’s president JP Nadda unveiled the “Sankalp Patra" which mainly focused on welfare schemes for women and the poor.

Senior citizens also found mention in the BJP manifesto which promised to increase their pension amount.

Addressing a press conference, Nadda announced that all the ongoing public welfare schemes will continue if the BJP comes to power in Delhi.



“All the schemes which are running in Delhi will continue under BJP in Delhi. We will eliminate all scopes of corruption on which the AAPda party thrives," Nadda said.

“We made 500 promises in 2014, we delivered 499. In 2019, we made 235, we completed 225. The rest were also on the stage of implementation," he added while detailing the track record of the saffron party.

Main Focus On Women

Nadda highlighted the work done by the BJP governments in various states and said that the empowerment of women has been the party’s priority.

“Women have been our main priority. Ujwala Yojana, toilets under Swaccha Bharat. In Maharashtra and MP we are giving monthly Mahila Samaan," he said.

The BJP chief announced the Mahila Samridhi Yojana for the women of Delhi, under which monthly financial aid will be provided to them.

He also announced free cylinders for the poor on every Holi and Diwali.

* Rs 2,500 to women of Delhi under Mahila Samridhi Yojana
* Rs 500 cylinder subsidy for poor women in Delhi
* 1 free cylinder on every Holi and Diwali
* 6 nutritional kits for women, Rs 21,000 will be given to pregnant mothers
* Implementation of Centre’s Ayushman Bharat Yojana in the first cabinet, additional health cover of Rs 5,00,000 to people of Delhi
* Pension for senior citizens between 60 and 70 to be increased from Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500
* Pension for senior citizens above 70 years of age, widows, and specially-abled people will be increased from the current Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,000
* Will launch Atal Canteen Yojana — Meal in Rs 5 for people living in slums (jhuggi jhopdi) and clusters.
