Bangalore Police Identifies Killer In Dell BPO Employee’s Murder

Bangalore, Dec 19: Bangalore police have identified the person who murdered Dell BPO employee Payal Sureka, reports Express. A person, who was seen in an album found in the victim’s flat, is suspected to be behind the crime.

 

Police said Payal’s neighbours and security guard have identified the person in the picture as he was seen enquiring about her before entering the apartment. But the police are yet to ascertain his relationship with Payal. The police have questioned her husband, Anant Narayan Mishra, and collected details of calls made by Anant and Payal.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Bangalore South Sonia Narang, said it was clearly an act by a single person, and specials teams were formed to crack the case.Payal was found murdered in Ramana Babu apartment near Bangalore School of Business under J P Nagar police limits on Friday. 

Earlier, police had suspected the role of her husband in the murder on Friday night. Sureka, 29, a native of Assam, was found murdered with her throat slit. Her husband, Ananth Narayan Misra, was questioned by the police on Saturday. According to sources, Misra and his wife, had got married three years ago but all was not well in their relationship.

It is also learnt that Misra’s parents, both senior-level police officers in Orissa, were bringing pressure on the police claiming their son’s innocence.
