Bikers loot Rs.1.5 crore from cash van outside Citibank ATM in Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 29, 2014: Two bike-born robbers opened fire at a private security guard and looted Rs.1.5 crore from the cash van from outside an ATM in North Delhi on Saturday morning.

"Two people came on a motorcycle and opened fire at the security guard and took away a bag containing cash around Rs.1.5 crore," said Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Goel.

The incident took place around 11 a.m. when the cash van came to refill a Citibank ATM in north Delhi’s Kamla Nagar market area, police said.

The guard has been taken to a nearby hospital where his condition is stated to be critical.
