Mangalore Today News Network

Mumbai, May 20, 2014:  The Roha-Diva passenger train has been delayed by over four hours at the Roha station on the Konkan Railway route due to a bomb scare early on Tuesday.

trainThe train was supposed to depart from Roha at 5.30am on Tuesday, but an anonymous caller reportedly informed the station master that there was a bomb kept in the train.

The bomb detection and disposal squad from Alibaug was rushed to the spot to check the train and also the station premises. No explosives were detected so far.

"An unknown person had specifically mentioned the name of a female passenger and said that she was carrying a bomb. However, when we checked her, there was nothing. It seems to be that someone has a personal grudge against the woman. The train service has resumed now," said Raigad superintendent of police Ankush Shinde.
