Brijpal Teotia attack: Major breakthrough as prime accused Manoj arrested in Muradnagar

Ghaziabad, Sep 07, 2016: In a major breakthrough, prime accused Manoj, has been arrested for the murderous attack on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Brijpal Teotia.

 

Manoj was nabbed from Uttar Pradesh’s Muradnagar.

Teotia was shot and wounded on August 11 in Ghaziabad district in Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier, the UP Police had announced it had solved the case following the arrest of four shooters involved in the shooting.

Police said the four shooters were hired by two cousins from Teotia`s native village to avenge a family member`s killing 17 years ago.

Inspector General of Police Meerut Zone Sujeet Pandey told the media here that main conspirators Manish and Manoj, both cousins, hailed from Teotia`s native village Mahrauli under Kavi Nagar Police Station of Ghaziabad.

Both had hatched the conspiracy to avenge the murder of Manish`s father Suresh Diwan, a Delhi Police Constable killed in 1999 in Shakarpur in Delhi.
