COVID-19: Cases near 150 in India; Soldier tests positive in Leh

Delhi, Mar 18, 2020: The novel coronavirus shows no signs of stopping as cases of COVID-19 – the disease caused it causes – mount worldwide.

On Wednesday, 18 March, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in India rose to 147, comprising 122 Indian nationals and 25 foreign nationals, according to the Health Ministry, Yahoo reported.

One more person, who has a travel history to France and Netherlands, tested positive for coronavirus in Maharashtra’s Pune on Wednesday, ANI reported. This takes the total number of positive cases to 18 in Pune and 42 in Maharashtra.

The first Indian Army jawan, from Ladakh Scouts, has tested positive for COVID-19.
