Initial reports stated that Dhamodharan wrote a letter to his brother-in-law claiming that he faced irreparable loss in his business and that’s why he took the decision.

Meanwhile, Sankar Nagar Police has moved Dhamodharan to the hospital for treatment and a case of murder was filed against him.

A heart-wrenching suicide note written by Dhamodharan has surfaced in which he had explained how much he and his family had to struggle.

"My family had to suffer a great deal along with me. I wished to kill myself only, but they have already suffered a lot with me and I didn’t want to put them into more trouble by not being with them. That is why I took this decision," Dhamadharan, who owned a Prakash Cloth Stores, wrote in his suicide note.

Dhamodharan further wrote in detail about his business transactions and his documents.

In the last page of the letter, Dhamodharan shared what caused his business to suffer loss.

"After Central government introduced demonetisation, my business only went down the hill and could never recover. I borrowed money again and again, but those who are supposed to give me money were unable to do so. If this situation continues, many more families would have to face the same fate. It is very unfortunate that the state government is not bothered as well," he wrote.
