The development comes a day after an Italian tourist in Jaipur was tested positive for the virus and his wife showed initial symptoms of the virus. The Italian couple was part of a tourist group touring Rajasthan.

Now, 15 more Italian tourists, who were quarantined on arrival, have tested positive for the virus that has now spread to several countries in the world. India, too, faces a greater risk of the outbreak as more cases emerge.

The fresh cases came to light after the samples of the Italian tourists were tested at AIIMs in New Delhi. All 15 Italian tourists have been kept at the ITBP facility at Chhawla. They were kept in preventive isolation since yesterday afternoon. Samples of 15 have now tested positive

While the confirmed cases jumped to 21, three people from Kerala, who were initially tested positive, have recovered and have gone back to Saudi Arabia.
