New Delhi, Apr 16, 2020: On day-2 of India’s lockdown 2.0, the number of people infected with coronavirus was 12,380 and the death toll stood at 414, according to the data released by health ministry at 8am on Thursday, Hindustan Times reported.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday released revised guidelines for the second phase of lockdown that ends on May 3. The guidelines were issued to "... consolidate the gains achieved during the 1st phase of lockdown and further slow down the spread of Covid-19," according to a government release. The number of coronavirus cases has touched 2.5 million globally. The USA, with over 644,055 confirmed cases, is the country with the highest infection tally, followed by Spain, Italy, and France, according to the reference website Worldometers.
