David Guetta magic makes B’lore crowd spin

Bangalore, Mar 11,2012: A massive crowd comprising mainly of the Generation Y witnessed the concert of the Grammy Award-winning DJ David Guetta on Sunday.

aking the stage at Palace Grounds, David proved his stature as the world’s number one DJ. David had everyone grooving to his tunes with songs like ‘There’s Just No Gettin Over You’, ‘Without You’, ‘Wild Ones,’ ‘When Love Takes Over’, ‘Sweat’,  ‘One Love’ and ‘Crank It Up’.

 

 

Palace Grounds has been stage to many a concert, hosting some of the music’s greats but emotions among people there to hear Guetta on Friday were mixed. And the most common emotion was perplexity. Some looking for friends, some complaining about ticket rates but none short of enthusiasm, even if it was difficult to get to the source of it.

 

 

If some sported Metallica T-shirts, one suited himself in legendary NBA star Kobe Bryant’s LA Lakers’ jersey, and many more, generally women, hit Palace Grounds’ “dusty ramp” with boots, caring little for what the weathermen term Bangalore’s worst sun in years.

Smeared make-up on the faces, tired, dehydrated eyes, burning of cigarettes and even a lost sense of fashion, nothing came in the way of these ‘aficionados’.

That Pierre David Guetta has become a phenomena in India is something even he learnt only Friday when he played before jam-packed crowd take heart to his mixing.

 

 

 

The timing of the concert was changed. Earlier, the concert was scheduled to start at 8.30 pm but rescheduled to begin at 5.30 pm and get over by 8.45 pm. The timing was changed because of the City police’s insistence, to enable them maintain smooth flow of traffic around the venue.
