Days after techie suicide, Bengaluru cop kills self, blames wife and father-in-law in suicide note

Bengaluru, December 14, 2024: A 33-year-old policeman was found dead on a railway track near Baiyappanahalli in Bengaluru, officials said on Saturday.

The deceased Tippanna Alugur, who was a head constable at the Hulimavu police station, blamed his wife and father-in-law for his death in a suicide note, officials said.

 

The Baiyappanahalli Railway police has registered a case and further probe has been launched.

In his note, Alugur, originally from Bijapur, said that he was harassed by his wife, and his father-in-law had issued threats to his life.

Alugur’s death comes days after the death by suicide of Atul Subhash, a senior tech executive in Bengaluru.

Subhash, too, blamed his wife and her family for his death leading the Marathahalli police to launch a probe.
