Delhi Cop Caught On Camera Attacking Woman With Brick

New Delhi, May 11, 2015:  A Delhi policeman has been suspended after he was caught on camera attacking a woman with a brick. She was accompanied by her young child.

The assault by the traffic policeman took place in Golf Links, one of Delhi’s most expensive neighbourhoods. It was filmed by a passerby.

The woman was on her way home after picking up her daughter from school when her two-wheeler was stopped by the policeman near a traffic signal.

The policeman, Satish Chand, allegedly accused the woman of traffic violations, after which the two started arguing.

First, the woman is seeing hurling a brick at the policeman’s bike. The visuals that follow are shocking; the policeman strikes right back with a brick, which hits the woman on her back.

Police chief BS Bassi said Satish Chand has been suspended.

"Strict action will be taken against him. We regret that such a shameful act has been committed by a traffic policeman," Mr Bassi said.
