Delhi Police Files Murder Case in Sunanda Pushkar Death

New Delhi, Jan 06, 2015:  A murder case has been registered in the death of Sunanda Pushkar, the wife of Congress MP and former minster Shashi Tharoor, the Delhi Police said today.

sunanda.Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said the case has been registered based on medical reports from Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences received on December 29.

The report, he said, stated that the "death was unnatural" and "due to poisoning." The officer said a viscera report is awaited.

Sunanda Pushkar was found dead on January 17, 2014, in a suite at a five star hotel in Delhi.
