New Delhi, January 12, 2025: The Congress party has unveiled its latest initiative, the ‘Yuva Udaan Yojana,’ aimed at providing financial assistance of Rs 8,500 per month to educated unemployed youths in Delhi for one year, contingent on the party coming to power in the upcoming elections.

AICC General Secretary Sachin Pilot made the announcement during a press conference in the capital, emphasizing that the scheme is designed not as a handout, but as a skill-development platform. “This is not a scheme where someone will get money while sitting at home. Beneficiaries will need to showcase their skills and actively participate in companies, factories, or organizations,” Pilot stated.

The initiative seeks to help youths bridge the gap between unemployment and employment by offering financial support while allowing them to gain valuable real-world experience. The goal is to empower young people, improve their skill sets, and enhance their prospects for long-term employment in various industries.

This scheme is part of a broader set of welfare measures announced by the Congress in the lead-up to the Delhi Assembly elections. Earlier this month, the party launched the ‘Pyaari Didi Yojana,’ which promises Rs 2,500 in monthly financial assistance for women, followed by the ‘Jeevan Raksha Yojana’ on January 8, which offers free health insurance coverage of up to Rs 25 lakh for Delhi residents.
