Delhi airport on alert after hoax bomb threat call

New Delhi, Jan 24, 2024: The Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi was put on high alert after a bomb threat call was received for a Darbhanga to Delhi flight. However, during the inquiry, it turned out to be a bogus call.

Full emergency was declared at the IGI Airport at 5.50 pm after a bomb threat call was received by the control room regarding a SpiceJet flight from Darbhanga to Delhi which was scheduled to land at the airport.

The flight landed at the airport at 6.04 pm. The passengers were deboarded and the aircraft was parked in isolation bay for screening.

During enquiry, the call was found to be hoax. However necessary safety protocols were followed keeping in view security of passengers.
