Denied party ticket: BJP’s Laxman Savadi to resign; Shettar to meet Nadda in Delhi

Bengaluru, April 12, 2023: Cracks seems to appear within the BJP after the partyreleased its first list of candidates for Karnataka Assembly elections. Laxman Savadi has said that he has decided to resign from primary membership of BJP after being denied a ticket to contest in Karnataka Assembly polls.

Former Karnataka CM and six-time MLA Jagadish Shettar has said that he willreach Delhi today to meet the party’s national president J P Nadda. "I expect positive things will happen. In the coming days, the party high command and state leaders will specify everything," he said after his name was not mentioned in theBJP’s first list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly polls.

Supporters of BJP MLA Mahadevappa Yadawad last night protested in Ramdurg constituency in Belagavi over ticket being denied to him. Chikka Revana who joined the BJP recently got the ticket from the constituency.
