Derogatory remark case: C T Ravi demands CBI probe

Chikkamagaluru, December 27, 2024: MLC C T Ravi expressed doubts about the CID and FSL investigation into the incident that occurred in the Legislative Council, suggesting that "invisible hands might be influencing the CID and FSL report".

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, he stated, "I was arrested even before the FSL report arrived. I did not privately send any audio or video to the FSL, nor was there a need."

He further asked how the CID can conduct an impartial investigation when a minister is responsible for filing a case against him resulting in his arrest.

“Therefore, the investigation should be led by a judge, or a CBI investigation should be conducted", he said.

To a query, he said that it has been 100 years since Mahatma Gandhi presided over the Congress session, but the Gandhi Congress no longer exists; what remains is ’Goon Congress’.

"Gandhiji himself suggested dissolving the Congress to prevent misuse of the name. When remembering Gandhiji, they should first follow what he said", Ravi said.

He accused the Congress of charging rent for the plane that carried Dr B R Ambedkar’s body and insulting him by not awarding the Bharat Ratna.
