Divorcee beautician found killed at home parlour

Bangalore, August 4, 2014:  A 38-year-old beautician was found murdered in the kitchen of her residence in Govindapur in East Bangalore on Friday afternoon.

The incident came to light around 1.30 pm when the beautician’s elder son returned home from college. The deceased woman has been identified as Nasreena Sultana a resident of Govindapur and the owner of a beauty parlor.

Police suspect that the woman might have been murdered for gain by some one known to her. The KG Halli police registered a case of murder and are investigating the accused persons.

Preliminary investigations reveal that the woman was a divorcee and her husband had settled in Dubai. She was living with her three children and was running a beauty parlor inside her residence. Police said that some valuables were missing from a cupboard at the residence. Nasreena is suspected to have been killed while she was in the act of preparing tea. Police suspect that she had a guest who was to known to her whom she was preparing tea for when her throat was slit.

“The suspect is someone known to the victim since she was preparing tea when she was killed. She was murdered in the kitchen before she lit the gas stove. The gas was leaking from the open stove when the police visited the crime scene,” deputy commissioner of police (east) N Sathish Kumar said.
