Drugs case: Ananya Panday called for questioning on basis of chats found on Aryan Khan’s phone

Mumbai, Oct 21, 2021: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has summoned actor Ananya Panday for questioning in connection with the drugs case on the basis of chats found on Aryan Khan’s mobile phone.
An NCB team reached Ananya Panday and Chunky Panday’s residence at Khar West, Mumbai, on Thursday. Ananya Panday has been summoned by the NCB at 2 pm. The NCB team has also taken away Ananya Panday’s phone.
Ananya is the daughter of actor Chunky Panday, who has worked in many Hindi films. Ananya Panday made her Bollywood debut in the 2019 film "Student of the Year 2".
A separate NCB team also visited Mannat, the house of Shah Rukh Khan. Earlier in the day, Shah Rukh Khan reached Arthur Road prison and met his son Aryan for about 18 minutes. There was a glass partition between them and they spoke over the intercom.
Aryan Khan was arrested with seven others on October 3 after the NCB raided a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast and claimed to have seized drugs.
A special court denied bail to Aryan Khan on Wednesday, observing that he was involved in "illicit drug activities on a regular basis" and had a nexus with drug peddlers and suppliers. The Bombay High Court will hear the bail plea filed by Aryan Khan on October 26.
