New Delhi, Aug 03, 2022: The Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday sealed the Young Indian Ltd. office located in the National Herald building in New Delhi as part of the ongoing money laundering investigation.
The ED has instructed that the premises not be opened without prior permission from the agency, sources said.
"The Young Indian office has only been temporarily sealed as there was no one from their side to get the searches conducted. The principal officer, Mallikarjun Kharge, came but left the premises without getting the searches conducted. As and when the authorised person presents himself for concluding the search, the seal will be lifted," ED sources told India Today.
Meanwhile, additional police forces were deployed outside the All India Congress Committee (AICC) office.
The ED had raided the head office of the National Herald newspaper in New Delhi and 11 other locations a day earlier. The agency has already questioned Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and her son and party leader Rahul Gandhi in the case.
