Agra,Uttar Pradesh, May 31: Food Safety and Drug Administration (FDA) raided the godown of ITC ‘s distributor and seized around 5000 ’Yippee’ noodles packets, near Water Works crossing in Agra.
It may be mentioned here that detection of high lead and monosodium glutamate (MSG) content in a batch of Maggi, UPFDA took samples from across the state and seized around 1.4 lakhs Maggi packets. In Agra, earlier FDA also seized Maggi packets and took samples and sent to the laboratory at Lucknow and the lab report of five Maggi samples is yet to come.
Chief Food and Safety Officer (CFSO) Ram Naresh informed that on the doubt, we also took the three samples of ‘Yippee’ noodles and set to Lucknow for testing and seized around 5000 packets noodles. Besides, the report of the Maggi samples, sent earlier, is also awaited.
