Hubli, Mar 31, 2018 : Ahead of the elections in Karnataka, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Lok Sabha MP Prahlad Joshi has been booked for making derogatory remarks against Muslims.
Joshi had allegedly told media that weapons were being stored in a mosque.
The FIR was lodged by Mohammed Hanif at Kasba police station in Karnataka’s Hubli district.
The complainant has accused Joshi of making an inciting statement against Muslims on March 25 in Hubli’s Ghousia area.
Joshi made this statement while he was the house of Guru Sidappa, a resident of Hubli who was murdered this month by unknown miscreants.
This comes after Prahlad Joshi was already in a soup for mistranslating BJP chief Amit Shah’s speech in Kannada at his rally in Davanagere district’s Challakere.
Joshi made a mistake while translating Shah’s speech and ended up saying, "Narendra Modi will not do anything good for Dalits. He will destroy the nation."
