Girl who stormed ex-lover’s wedding terminates pregnancy

M.today

Bangalore, May 03: Priyanka, the girl who shot to the limelight after barging into the wedding  of her ex-boyfriend claiming to be carrying his child, has terminated the pregnancy in its sixth month.

While she had earlier declared that she would carry the pregnancy to term, she underwent an abortion saying her health did not allow her to do so.

Interestingly, the DNA test did prove that her boyfriend Anand K was the father of the child she was carrying.

Anand is currently languishing in jail for cheating Priyanka. Before getting the DNA report, Priyanka and her family had consistently rubbished rumours that she had terminated the pregnancy.

"At 40-kg, I feel extremely weak since my first gestation period. My discomfort has only increased in the fifth month. To add to my troubles, I even suffer from unbearable stomach pains, which has forced me to go for an abortion. I feel very bad but what can I do, it was something I had to do to survive," said Priyanka.

Asha, Priyanka’s sister, confirmed Priyanka had undergone an abortion but had submitted the report of her DNA test to the court.

Dr Anuradha, a noted gynecologist said, "Aborting in the sixth month is possible but illegal. After 20 weeks, the foetus begins to experience sensation and begins to breathe. In some cases, if the mother undergoes an abortion, there are chances of delivering a live child."

Meanwhile, for the fifth time, the VI Magistrate Court dismissed Anand’s bail plea on Friday.

Anand allegedly convinced Priyanka to have sex with him and assured her that they would get married. However, he later married a girl named Tirumala from Vijayanagar. Anand has been charged with cheating.

Inspector Manjunath GC of the Yeshwantpur RMC Yard Police Station said, "We are investigating the case with great caution. We have also taken all necessary steps."
