Gopinath Munde cremated; supporters torch vehicles, demand CBI enquiry

New Delhi, June 04, 2014: Meanwhile, Congress president Sonia Gandhi has postponed the scheduled lunch of UPA constituents to June 10, in view of Union minister Gopinath Munde’s sudden demise.

As soon as Gopinath Munde was cremated, some agitated supporters went on a rampage, demanding CBI probe into union minister’s death in an accident. The supporters torched police vans, other vehicles and gheraoed Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan’s car, while he was on his way to a helipad.
