New Delhi, May 09: The Delhi High Court on Friday stayed action against Union Minister Veerappa Moily and industrialist Mukesh Ambani on an FIR filed by former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal in the KG basin gas pricing case.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau of the Delhi government had registered the FIR under sections dealing with criminal conspiracy, cheating and other sections of the Prevention Of Corruption Act.
Kejriwal had accused the Government of India of colluding with Reliance Industries Limited and increasing the price of gas from $4.2 per million British Thermal Unit to $8.
The court order comes after S-G Mohan Parasaran argued in the HC that the Delhi government had no jurisdiction to order FIR, also that the Anti Corruption Bureau does not have jurisdiction to investigate gas pricing.
