Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist killed in encounter in J&K’s Pulwama

Pulwama, Dec 16, 2021: A terrorist killed in an encounter in the Rajpura area of Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday belonged to Hizbul Mujahideen, sources said.
The terrorist has been identified as Feroz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Heff-Shrimal in Shopian district. He was active since 2017.
Dar had joined terrorist ranks in 2017 and was involved in many militancy-related activities in the region.
The encounter began in Usgam Pathri in Pulwama district at around 12 am on the intervening night between Tuesday and Wednesday.
On December 12, a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama district. The slain terrorist, Sameer Ahmad Tantray, was a resident of Baragam.
Tantray was earlier a terrorist associate and was involved in providing logistical support to active terrorists in the area, the police said.
