Hyd girl stripped, cut with blade on camera by drug addict

Mar 9, 2019 - A minor girl was allegedly stripped and her body cut with a blade by a drug addict in Hyderabad’s Gandhi Nagar on Thursday, 7 March.

 

The entire ordeal was also captured on camera by the perpetrator, NDTV reported. In the video, the girl, covered in blood, can be seen pleading with the accused to stop and let her go.

    According to the report, the girl was rescued by locals after they heard her screams. The accused was subsequently beaten up and then handed over to the local police.

He was said to be under the influence of drugs at the time.

According to senior journalist Uma Sudhir, this is not the first time that the minor was abducted by the accused.

She tweeted saying that the girl was “reportedly raped by a friend of accused on 3 March.”

This incident was also filmed and used to blackmail the victim – to coerce her into coming to a secluded place in Gandhi Nagar, where she was stripped and cut with a blade.

    A report by The Times of India, however, said the victim and the accused knew each other and might have been in a relationship.

P Vishwa Prasad, Central Zone DCP, as per the report, said: “Alleging that she was having an affair with another boy, the accused made her strip and physically assaulted her. He also recorded her video, while she kept on pleading with him to stop.”

The charges will be framed after a preliminary police investigation. It is likely that the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act will be invoked in this case.
