Pakistan, Aug.18: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan lashed out at the Modi government in a series of tweets on Sunday, 18 August, saying the world must consider the safety and security of India’s nuclear arsenal in the control of the "fascist, racist Hindu Supremacist Modi Govt".Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan lashed out at the Modi government in a series of tweets on Sunday, 18 August, saying the world must consider the safety and security of India’s nuclear arsenal in the control of the "fascist, racist Hindu Supremacist Modi Govt".
Khan’s comments come amid tensions between India and Pakistan in the aftermath of the effective revocation of Article 370 and the bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir into two Union territories. The Kashmir Valley was placed under lockdown after the decision was announced on 5 August.
The Pakistan PM also claimed that 4 million Indian Muslims face detention camps and cancellation of citizenship, in an indirect reference to the NRC (National Register of Citizens) exercise in Assam.
"World must take note as this genie is out of the bottle & the doctrine of hate & genocide, with RSS goons on the rampage, will spread unless the international community acts now to stop it," he said.
Khan’s comments come days after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, in a possible indication of a shift in stance, said that while India’s nuclear policy has been ’no first use’, the future will depend on circumstances.
