Pretoria, August 12, 2013 (IBN): Shikhar Dhawan came within 21 runs of breaking the all-time highest individual score in List A cricket, smashing 248 off 150 balls in a ferocious display of hitting at the LC de Villiers Oval on Monday. Dhawan’s outstanding innings contained 30 fours and seven sixes as South Africa A’s bowlers were dispatched to all corners of the stadium.

His effort came in a must-win match for India A, needing to qualify for the final of the triangular series. After 50 overs, they had a total of 433 for 3.
