New Delhi, June 22, 2022: India registered a total of 12,249 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, marking a 23.4% increase since yesterday. It brings the total caseload to 4,33,31,645 and the active caseload to 81,687.
The top five states which have registered maximum cases are Maharashtra with 3,659 cases, followed by Kerala with 2,609 cases, Delhi with 1,383 cases, Karnataka with 738 cases and Tamil Nadu with 737 cases.
Of the new cases, 74.5% were reported from these five states, with Maharashtra alone responsible for 29.87% of the new cases. A total of 13 deaths were reported in the country in the last 24 hours, increasing the total reported death count to 5,24,903.
India’s recovery rate now stands at 98.6%. A total of 9,862 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 4,27,25,055 across the country.
India’s active caseload stands at 81,687. In the last 24 hours, active cases have increased by 2,374.
India administered a total of 12,28,291 doses in the last 24 hours, bringing the total tally of doses administered to 1,96,45,99,906. A total of 3,10,623 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
