New Delhi, Nov 06, 2021: India registered 10,929 new cases in the last 24 hours, 14.1 per cent lower than Friday.
With fresh cases, the country’s overall tally has mounted to 3,43,44,683, according to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare early Saturday.
The top five states which have registered maximum cases are Kerala with 6,580 cases, followed by Tamil Nadu with 875 cases, Maharashtra with 802 cases, West Bengal with 763 cases and Mizoram with 513 cases.
87.23 per cent of the new cases are reported from these five states, with Kerala alone responsible for 60.21 per cent of the new cases.
As many as 392 deaths were reported in the country in the last 24 hours, increasing the total reported death count to 4,60,265.
Maximum casualties were reported in Kerala (314), followed by Maharashtra with 17 daily deaths.
A total of 12,509 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 3,37,37,468 across the country. With this, India’s recovery rate now stands at 98.23 per cent.
India’s active caseload stands at 1,46,950. In the last 24 hours, active cases declined by 1,972.
The country administered a total of 20,75,942 doses in the last 24 hours, which brings the total tally of doses administered to 1,07,92,19,546.
A total of 6,70,847 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
