India records 2,11,298 new infections, 3,847 deaths in 24 hours

New Delhi, May 26, 2021: India’s total tally of COVID-19 cases surged to 2,73,69,093 with 2,11,298 new infections, while the recoveries have surged to 2,46,33,951, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Thursday.
The death count increased to 3,15,235 with 3,847 new fatalities, the data updated at 8 am showed.
India has crossed 20 crore cumulative COVID-19 vaccination coverage, making it only the second country to achieve the feat after the US.
