India records 45,352 new Covid-19 cases, 366 deaths in 24 hours

New Delhi, Sep 03, 2021: India registered 45,352 new Covid-19 cases and 366 fatalities due to the viral infection in the last 24 hours, according to the data released by Union Health Ministry.

 

As of 8 am on Friday, active Covid-19 cases in the country touched 3,99,778.

The death toll due to Covid-19 reached 4,39,895.

Around 3,20,63,616 people recovered from Covid-19 in the country till now, the health ministry said.

On vaccination front, 67,09,59,968 people in the country were given vaccine doses till now.

On Thursday, India registered 47,092 new infections, highest in two months. The last time cases were higher than this was 63 days ago, on July 1, when India reported 48,786 cases.

Kerala recorded highest number of Covid-19 cases with 32,803 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 4,456 cases, Mizoram with 1,992 cases, Tamil Nadu with 1,509 cases and Andhra Pradesh with 1,186 cases.
