New Delhi, Oct 23, 2021: India has registered 16,326 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours which brings the total caseload to 3,41,59,562. According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), 666 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
The top five states which have registered maximum cases are Kerala with 9,361 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 1,632 cases, Tamil Nadu with 1,152 cases, West Bengal with 846 cases, and Mizoram with 745 cases.
84.14% of the new cases are reported from these five states, with Kerala alone responsible for 57.34% of the new cases.
A total of 17,677 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 3,35,32,126 across the country. The active caseload now stands at 1,73,728.
A total of 13,64,681 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
A total of 68,48,417 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total tally of doses administered to 1,01,30,28,411.
