New Delhi, Dec 07, 2021: India has registered 6,822 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, 17.9% lower than yesterday. It brings the total caseload to 3,46,48,383.
1. Top five states which have registered maximum cases are Kerala with 3,277 cases, followed by Tamil Nadu with 719 cases, Maharashtra with 518 cases, West Bengal with 465 cases, and Mizoram with 330 cases.
2. 220 deaths were reported in the country in the last 24 hours, increasing the total reported death count to 4,73,757.
3.77.83% of the new cases are reported from these five states, with Kerala alone responsible for 48.04% of the new cases.
4. Maximum casualties were reported in Kerala (168), followed by Tamil Nadu(10).
5. India’s recovery rate now stands at 98.36%. A total of 10,004 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 3,40,79,612 across the country.
6. India’s active caseload stands at 95,014. In the last 24 hours, active cases decline by 3,402.
7. India has administered a total of 79,39,038 doses in the last 24 hours, which brings the total tally of doses administered to 1,28,76,10,590. A total of 10,79,384 samples for Covid-19 were tested in the last 24 hours.
