New Delhi, Feb 28, 2022: Indians returning after being evacuated from Ukraine have been exempted from the various Covid regulations, otherwise mandatory for fliers landing in the country. The Omicron variant of coronavirus prompted several new curbs that were relaxed after the devastating second wave abated.According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s revised international travel advisory, Indians arriving from the war-ravaged country will be allowed to board flights without a pre-boarding negative RT-PCR test report and vaccination certificate.
They will also be exempted from uploading relevant Covid documents on the Air Suvidha Portal before taking off.
Travelers who are unable to submit their pre-arrival RT-PCR test reports or are not fully vaccinated against coronavirus will now be able to submit their samples on arrival and will have to self-monitor for 14 days thereafter.
1,156 Indians have arrived in India from Ukraine till today and none is under isolation.
