New Delhi, Aug 03, 2021: India on Tuesday reported 30,549 fresh Covid-19 cases and 422 deaths over the past 24 hours. The country’s recovery rate now stands at 97.38%.
The top five states which have registered the maximum Covid-19 cases are Kerala with 13,984 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 4,869 cases, Tamil Nadu with 1,957 cases, Andhra Pradesh with 1,546 cases and Karnataka with 1,285 cases.
77.4% of the fresh coronavirus cases have been reported from these five states, with Kerala alone responsible for 45.78% of it.
Among the 422 deaths, the maximum casualties have been reported from Kerala (118), followed by Maharashtra with 90 deaths.
A total of 38,887 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 3,08,96,354 across the country. India’s recovery rate now stands at 97.38%.
The country’s active caseload now stands at 4,04,958 while in the last 24 hours, active cases declined by 8,760.
India has administered a total of 61,09,587 doses in the last 24 hours, which brings the total tally of doses administered to 47,85,44,114.
A total of 16,49,295 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
