New Delhi, Feb 18, 2022: India’s Covid cases continue to decline as the country reported 25,920 new infections in the last 24 hours, a decline of 15.7 per cent from yesterday. The country also recorded 492 daily deaths.
The total caseload now stands at 4,27,80,235, with the total death count at 5,10,905.
* The top five states which have registered maximum cases are Kerala with 8,655 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 2,797 cases, Karnataka with 1,579 cases, Rajasthan with * 1,506 cases and Madhya Pradesh with 1,328 cases.
* At least 61.2 per cent of the new cases are reported from these five states, with Kerala alone responsible for 33.39 per cent of the new cases.
* India’s recovery rate now stands at 98.12 per cent.
* A total of 66,254 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 4,19,77,238 across the country.
* India’s active caseload stands at 2,92,092. In the last 24 hours, active cases decline by 40,826.
* India has administered a total of 37,86,806 doses in the last 24 hours, which brings the total tally of doses administered to 1,74,64,99,461.
* A total of 12,54,893 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
