New Delhi, Dec 26 2017, DH News Service: In what may be yet another surgical strike, Indian Army soldiers crossed the Line of Control and killed three Pakistani soldiers belonging to the 12 Division of the Baluch regiment of the Pakistan Army in the early hours of Monday.
A fourth Pakistani soldier was injured in what army sources described as a "local tactical operation."
The cross-border raid is to take revenge of four Indian Army soldiers killed by the Pakistan Army in Rajouri on Saturday.
Unlike the cross-border raid of September 29, 2016, there is no political ownership this time as the Indian Army refused to either confirm or deny the cross-border movement.
However, the Pakistan Army released a media statement confirming the deaths and injury at the LoC. This comes close on the heels of gunning down another Pakistan Army sniper on Sunday morning at the Jhangar sector near Rajouri.
The disputed boundary between the two neighbours has been witnessing increasing commando-style operations for the last two years, as peace talks between India and Pakistan were shelved following a terror strike on the IAF Pathankot base almost two years ago.
