Mumbai, Sep 07, 2015, DHNS: TV tycoon Peter Mukerjea’s wife Indrani Mukerjea née Bora, who has been accused of killing her daughter Sheena Bora, was on Sunday taken to their Worli residence to recreate the crime scene and collect more evidence.
The Mukerjea-couple are residents of a bungalow inside the Marlow Cooperative Housing Society Ltd at the Pochkhanawala Road at Worli, a prime locality.
A team of officers and men escorted Indrani from the Bandra police station to Khar police station and later took her to the Worli home amidst tight security arrangements.
Indrani (43), her first husband and Kolkata-based businessman Sanjeev Khanna (50) and driver Shyamvar Rai (43) would be produced before the Bandra magistrate court on Monday, on expiry of their police remand, where the Khar police station would once again seek their police custody.
It may be recalled that the previous Sunday, all three of them were taken from Mumbai to Pen, where the body of Sheena was disposed of.
Vital for investigation
The police had also recreated the journey, which was vital part of the investigation.
During the visit to the Worli home, policemen scanned lockers and drawers in search of evidence. Besides, they also went to the garage, from where last week, a suitcase was recovered.
On Saturday, when she was produced in the court, the Khar police station has said the financial trail was yet to be fully established and they were yet to seize all the credit cards of the accused.
Besides, the police were also trying to check out what all things have been purchased before the murder of Sheena Bora.
