JDS leader HD Revanna taken to hospital after he complained of uneasiness

Bengaluru, May 08, 2024: Janata Dal (Secular) (JDS) leader and Karnataka’s Holenarasipura MLA HD Revanna was taken to hospital on Tuesday after he complained of uneasiness. Initially, he was taken to Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital in Bengaluru. However, to conduct additional scans, he was later shifted to Victoria Super Speciality hospital.

 

Revanna received initial gastric treatment and was sent to the Special Investigation Team office from the hospital.

Revanna was recently arrested by Karnataka Police’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) in connection with a kidnapping case registered against him. The JD(S) legislator was arrested from his father and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda’s house.

Revanna is accused of kidnapping and illegally confining a woman whom his son Prajwal Revanna is alleged to have sexually abused.

Meanwhile, the seven days’ time sought by Hassan’s NDA Lok Sabha candidate Prajwal Revanna to appear before the SIT probing sexual abuse allegations against him ended on Tuesday, but there was no sign of his return from abroad.

The 33-year-old JD(S) MP and grandson of former prime minister H D Deve Gowda flew to Germany as soon as news spread that the Karnataka State Commission for Women Nagalakshmi Chowdhary had written to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah seeking a probe into the explicit videos of Prajwal allegedly sexually abusing several women.

A lookout notice for Prajwal has been issued at all airports in India, along with a Blue Corner notice.
